World Card Making Day Bloghop! Start here.Posted by Operation Write Home on Oct 5, 2013 in Bloghops/Events, Stars and Stamps | 26 comments
Welcome to the biggest World Card Making Day party on the web! We’ve got so much inspiration for you, hold onto your hats!
If you’re new to Operation Write Home, please feel free to browse our site. One of the best places to get the important basic information is the Welcome page…..that links you up with the basic guidelines and answers all those first questions that people have. You’ll want to sign up for our monthly eNewsletter, and if you love video inspiration, check out OWHtv too! Our blog has challenges, tutorials, and inspiration all week, so add us to your reader or subscribe by email using the link in the sidebar.
For our hop today, we’ve asked bloggers to share a thank you card – since we’re just so grateful to our heroes for their service. The bloghop will have two types of thank you cards:
- AnyHero cards that will have notes written inside them TO our heroes. These don’t have to be stamped with our name on the back, nor do they need envelopes. (And kids can color pictures for AnyHero mail, and your friends and family can write AnyHero mail on storebought materials too!)
- Blank thank you cards for our heroes to use to write home on. During the Thanksgiving/Christmas season, they like to write notes to thank those who support them with care packages all year, so we add extra thank you cards to our boxes.
A card we’d like to share with you here is a real throwback…this was one of first AnyHero cards ever sent in one of our boxes in 2007! The eagle can be found at Stacy Stamps, and was drawn by Eric Dull of Broken Road Creative Studios.
Enjoy hopping along – please leave comments for the creators and let them know what you like best about their card…”nice card” doesn’t help crafters to grow, so tell each one what specific thing inspired you most! And please, no spamming with a sales url.
Be sure to check out the companies, marked with *, since we know they just might be blog candy opportunities! Don’t forget to pin cards that you’ll be wanting to go back to. And don’t forget to take a crafting break – use some of the mojo you pick up along the way to make some cards yourself! These links will be here indefinitely, so you can return to hopping anytime.
Happy World Card Making Day!
