VCMP Challenge #9: Sketch #86
Good morning, Cardmakers. Here at Operation Write Home we are in the midst of our birthday celebration, but I’m sure that you all, like me, are thinking about the tragedies that unfolded ten years ago today and the impact those events had on our country.
So many of our heroes joined the armed forces because of what happened on 9/11/01, and we want to honor those heroes and support them in a small way. Today we want to remember to say thank you, and that’s what this challenge is about.
Your challenge is to make an Any Hero card using this sketch, write a note to a hero in it, then send it to your nearest shipper. (Feel free to make dozens!)
Your sample card today was made by me, using a digital stamp available for free right here from OWH. If you’d like details on the materials used for this card, you can find them on my blog.
If you find yourself stumped for what to write inside, take a look at these tips previously featured on the Homefront blog. Just remember to be positive and to say thank you, and include your first name and hometown – so our heroes will know their supporters come from all over the USA!
A quick reminder about last week’s challenge: you still have time to enter to win a free digi stamp set from K ‘n K Designs! Submissions end on Saturday 9/17/11 at midnight Pacific time.
Okay, cardmakers, you have your orders! Let’s see your AnyHero cards!
To play along in this week’s sketch challenge, simply upload a project using this week’s sketch to your blog or online gallery then leave the link to that entry using the Inlinkz widget at the bottom of this post. And remember, you may use this sketch at any time. Feel free to re-post the sketch on your blog along with your card… then come back and leave a link for us so we may all see your cards!
