Did everyone survive yesterday’s boot camp experience? What a great learning tool these Monday lessons are going to be! If you’re ready to try something else, I hope that you enjoy today’s Tuesday Tutorial.
Have you noticed a fun trend in the crafty world that goes with chalkboard art? If you’re into Pinterest, ETSY or any local craft stores or fairs… you may have noticed the chalkboard effect on everything from photography props to cute little hand made signs and wall hangings. It’s no surprise that chalkboard art has also made its’ way into paper crafting. I’ve had a few requests and I’ve done some searching for some fun techniques for you guys. This video has got to be one of the best.
Today’s Tutorial comes from Jann who can be found at What You Make It. She’s excited to share this video with us here at Operation Write Home so…. here it is!
There are definitely lots of fun stamping techniques to be learned from making cute little cardboard signs. There are tons of cute chalkboard papers out there at your local scrapbooking stores and there is even chalkboard paint. The rest is up to you and your choice of inks, embossing powders and colored pencils. What a fun time to use up lots of sentiment stamps too, right? I love that this is a fun technique that can be used for any occasion or time of year. Now, I know that Christmas time is over and there’s not going to be any need for those cards for quite some time, but if you would like some more chalkboard inspiration our friends over at Lawn Fawn also have a great video in which they made some chalkboard tags. You can check that out here!
Thanks for watching today’s tutorial and please leave some love for Jann for sharing with us.
There’s also a place to play along if you would like to share your creations!
