Tutorial: Bubble Wrap Background
You guys know how I love tutorials that are both easy and unique! It doesn’t get much easier than this adorable original idea by this week’s helper – Sybrina from Scrapping With Purpose.
You can read all about Sybrina’s accidental discovery of this technique at the original post here but this technique is so simple that it doesn’t need a whole lot of explaining.
Find a piece of bubble wrap. (Who knew, that you could use bubble wrap for something other than packaging and stress relief?)
Add ink in random patterns and colors to the bubble side of the wrap.
“Stamp” with the wrap on a piece of paper. . .
What a fun pattern this creates! What a darling little polka-dotted background for a card that can be used for many festive occasions! I’m thinking Birthdays and cute bright summery greetings . . but I bet that you guys can come up with all sorts of fun ideas. It doesn’t get much easier or cheaper than this, friends! I’ll leave an InLinkz for you to share in case you give the bubble wrap trick a try. Here’s an added challenge… dare to be adventurous and look around your craft area… is there another item laying about that you could try stamping a pattern with? Look for things like the bubble wrap, with interesting shape and texture. Share your bubble wrap, or other creations here!
Don’t forget to leave Sybrina some love for sharing this cute card with us today, and keep those ideas and submissions coming for Tutorial Tuesdays! I’ve had more than a couple of really great ideas and submissions lately… thanks everyone! nancy @ operationwritehome dot org
