Tutorial: Birthday Candles (from Hero Arts!)

Tutorial: Birthday Candles (from Hero Arts!)

Pinch-hitting today for our usual Tuesday Tutorial is Julie Ebersole from Hero Arts – this video was recently shared, and it was so cute we just had to share what she made!  Please go leave her some love on her blog, Paper Trufflez!

Note from Sandy: While watching this, I was thinking about some soft colored ribbons that could substitute for the border stamp since I don’t have that one….what other supplies do you have that would work to execute this idea?

  1. What a fabulous idea.

  2. What a great idea! Definitely gets you thinking “outside of the box” for new ways to use stamps you have had for ages.

  3. Love the idea of the candles and all the 3-D!!

  4. Printed paper would make cute candles if you don’t have a fancy stamp.

  5. Julie always makes me laugh!! Great card design…love the contrast of the black with the bright candles.

  6. What a great card. Thanks for the tutorial!

  7. This would be another great use for some strips of solid scaps of card stock. The right printed scraps might work too.

  8. Love that candle glow and how the black strip seems to ‘ground’ the card. Just love it and thanks!

  9. I can’t believe I’ve never thought or heard of using the square punch to fishtail those ends! A great “Duh!” moment for me this morning. Thanks! 🙂

  1. Crafting Adventures - Birthday Candles - [...] seeing Sandy’s ribbon comment, I was motivated to go try something similar to the recent Hero Arts birthday tutorial.…
