Sketch Challenge #214

Sketch Challenge #214

Good Morning Peeps! It’s kind of a wonky day here at the homestead, so my post will be short. March is certainly coming in like a lion, isn’t it? Yikes!! I’m trying my darnedest to think Spring… while trying to keep warm and thawed.

The sketch today is a little different than usual. Love the variety of strips this calls for.

This cheerful, spring like, card by Jeanette is the inspiration. Please take a few moments to visit this talented lady on her blog, Langniappe- (lan-yap). The link is here.

Sorry Peeps, but I’ve got to run. For those of you facing this winter storm stay safe and warm. Maybe time for a little card making? I’m anxious to see what all of you create.

  1. Very pretty! I love the colors and sentiment.

  2. Nice! This would be a great way to use scraps or to make a variety of designs from a 6×6 stack. Thanks for sharing your card with us, Jeannette!

  3. love it…thanks Jeannette!

  4. what size do you cut the cardstock to get this hot dog fold vertical shape? Like this effect.

    • Cut a piece of 8-1/2×11″ cardstock in half lengthwise, so you end up with a piece that is 4-1/4×11″. Then score it at the 5-1/2″ point. Voila–hot dog vertical card!

      • Merci, Andrea!!!

  5. Thanks so much for the sweet comments! This is such a great group and I’m honored to be asked to share something I’ve done. I’m off to check out all the cards now. Thanks again! 🙂

  6. This is a wonderful challenge and could help make many scraps useful. The example provided is colorful, eye-catching because of the varied patterns and offers a sentiment that is useful at any time…an exciting card! thank you, Jeanette! I also admire all of the entries but my favorite is 22 by Sherry H…exceptional job. Hope I can get some cards done using this sketch! Keep up the good work everyone!

  7. I love having a sketch to work with! I hope to make more time for this. Can anyone tell me if the sparkles I used are allowed on the OWH cards. I just tend to not use any sparkles/glitter on the ones I would send for OWH, but I was curious since I know that glitter is an absolute no. Thanks!

  8. I am loving this sketch! Perfect for the OWH Memorial Day blog hop!
