Sketch Challenge #196

Sketch Challenge #196

First an update on our Sketch Gal Marlene: she’s ok! Her computer, however, is not okay. So I’ll be pitching in while she gets her technology worked out. In the meantime go leave her some love and good technowishes on her blog: Cubbyhole Creations!

This week, we’re lucky to be sponsored by our friends at Doodle Pantry! A message from the owner:

DPbadgeB2013Hello, my name is Laurie.   I’m just a regular Joe crafter.  While trying to find digital images that met my own crafting needs, I decided to draw some of my own, as I had so many unique (weird!) ideas that I just couldn’t locate elsewhere.   I sincerely hope something I’ve done inspires you to go create something to bring a smile to someone else and hope you enjoy creating to your hearts content with some of my doodles.. ~Laurie

They are offering a prize of three free digis (winner’s choice!) to a challenge participant, based on a random drawing. The sketch this week:

Let’s check out the samples made by the Doodle Pantry team….you’ll be inspired for certain!

Linda’s samples are the last sweet holiday cards you’ll be seeing here at OWH in 2013….with the final final final deadline coming up already THIS THURSDAY, these are sweet toppers to the final stash of Christmas cards for our heroes! Linda’s blog is The Stampers Touch, you’ll not be sad you paid her a visit!

Ellen has made a darling sample from this week’s sketch; it’s a sweet winter card – which is great since wintry cards without all those santas and holly are still in need for our heroes! Ellen’s blog is In A World of Craft, go pop over to say hi!

Marsha blogs over at Grammas Room. And her two sample cards are love cards for kiddos…wouldn’t they be sweet for a hero to send home for Valentine’s Day? They don’t even need to say “Happy Valentine’s Day” inside – just a sweet love message on the front is perfect! Valentines will be due by the end of 2013….so spend a little time during the holidays making some love cards.

  1. There is no link to add cards to. Thanks for having many samples to look at. I’ve had a real hard time lately being creative and it really helps to see more than one idea.

    • I don’t know where the link or the cards went, but if you go below the comments, the Trackbacks will take you to the cards already entered. I know, because I checked and my card is there:)

  2. What pretty cards! Like them all- such variety.

  3. Great sample cards. My favorite is the cow. Thank you Doodle Pantry.

  4. Really lovely cards. I especially like the cards for children, and the idea of sending more of such cards to help the men and women send love home to their llittle ones.

  5. I just adore that bunny card! The bunny really pops off the page – great image.

  6. Ooooh, this sketch – me likey.

  7. Great sketch and pretty sample cards!

  8. I absolutely love these Sketch Challenge layouts. Beautiful cards. Often I get burned out with layout designs that I have and these get my creativity going again. Thank you, thank you, and thank you.
