Sketch Challenge #177

Sketch Challenge #177

Good Morning peeps! Congratulations… you were awesome with last week’s sketch! There’s a lot for you to see in this week’s post. This week there are two parts for you for you to enjoy. Part 2, a Bonus, is a video that follows the sample card. Soooo… let’s get on to the show!

Here’s your sketch for this week. I think it’s one you’re really, really going to like! Now, I may be wrong… but I don’t think so. You be the judge!

Part 1:

The sketch was made from this beauty by the creative Cora Jean. Be sure to visit her blog, Paper Playtime, for this card and more inspiration.

Part 2: Bonus

Do you avoid, or have trouble with, cutting the pointed ends of a banner? As a bonus this week there is a video to help you. Kelly Marie Alvarez, owner and operator of Lawn Fawn, was a Featured Friday Cardmaker back in Sep 2012. Watch Kelly’s video for some tips on cutting banner points. The link the video is here.

Be sure to link your card in the Inklinkz frog down below. I can’t wait to see what you create!

*** Blog Candy Alert!***

As an extra special treat this week, we have a sponsor, Cheryl from Scraptown Lady! She has generously donated a $25 gift card to her online store! Please stop by her site and the Scraptown Lady blog to check them out and say thanks for the chance to win! The gift card will go to a random participant in this week’s sketch! Sign up by entering your card below!

  1. I like the layers on this one. I need to try it again with more than 1 DS DP.

  2. Thanks for letting ScrapTownLady sponsor your challenge this week – we are honored that our first sponsorship is for OWH! We look forward to seeing everyone’s lovely creations!

  3. Thank you ScrapTownLady for supporting Operation Write Home. I love this sketch!

  4. Hi,
Ready to start my card and really like the sketch, but don’t know how to post a card to the site…is it easy?

    • You can use a Flickr (free) account or set up a free blog through Blogger. 🙂

  5. Great card, Cora Jean, and it made for a fantastic sketch! Thank you ScrapTownLady for supporting OWH!

  6. Great sketch, but I was a little confused about what the 2 1/4×4 1/4 measurement was for.

    • It’s the mat for the 2×4″ panel. 🙂

  7. Thanks, Scraptownlady, for sponsoring this sketch challenge!!! 🙂 Cora, love your card!

  8. This was a great sketch! Thank you Scraptown Lady for the sponsorship! You have some beautiful stuff in your store.
