Sketch Challenge #159

Sketch Challenge #159

It’s Sunday… and time for another sketch.  I sure hope all of you are staying warm and safe. I’ve noticed several areas are getting pounded with snow, so it’s a good time to stay inside and play. And who doesn’t want to play with paper and ink…. Right?? Let’s get started with your sketch.

 159 Carol

This week’s sketch was made from this darling card by the ever so talented Carol L.  Her blog is Our Little Inspirations, and you can see more of her card here.

159 Sketch Sample

Tip: It’s perfectly alright to follow the sketch as it is shown. However, sometimes we have to tweak the sketch a little to work with the supplies we already have, or alter the size or placement of elements.  A sketch is a starting point to put your own spin on your card. The circle element can be any shape, like Carol’s heart. Notice the cute banner she placed at a jaunty angle across the heart.

I can’t wait to see how creative you get with this sketch! Now go… scoot… make something and be sure to link up with the InLinkz widget down below.

  1. How exciting and what an honor to have my card turned into this week’s sketch challenge! Thanks Marlene, and OWH for making this a very special day for me! I’m beyond thrilled, and can’t wait to see what OWH cardmakers do with this sketch!

  2. I loved this card when Carol first posted it and still love it today. It’s sweet and classy all at the same time. Great sample for our inspiration this week.

  3. Aww! So cute Carol!

  4. Wow, that’s so gorgeous I’m intimidated! It’s CAS and elegant at the same time! Love!! It’s good to have my book turned in and be back. Off to try my take in this sketch.

  6. Wonderful card! I especially like the background.

  7. It’s adorable! Gotta try that sketch ….

  8. Love all the cards! I have been keeping up with all your sketches, but I have no where to post them. I will send them in the next box that goes out to you!!

  9. Fantastic Cards and another awesome SKETCH!! CONGRATS to Carol too — your card is a beauty and I’m so pleased it was featured.

It’s great to FINALLY be back to cardmaking — I’ve missed it SO much and hopefully now can create for days to come without any more tragedy or upset in my life!! Phew!!!
