Sketch Challenge #153

Sketch Challenge #153

Here we are at the end of 2012, folks! How many sketches did you participate in this year? A bunch, I hope!

As we’ve hinted previously, today is my last sketch post. I am handing the reigns over to Marlene who will be wrangling sketches for y’all for 2013. It has been a pleasure to create sketches and gather samples for the past two years, and I thank y’all for the comments and participation – it has meant a lot to me!

Don’t worry, I’ll still be around – I’ll be bringing you several blog skips this year and you’ll see me around in challenges as part of the OWH blog team.

Here’s today’s sketch…

153

I decided to make the samples myself this week, while I still had the podium, lol! So all of these are by me, and if you want supply details you can visit my blog Handmade by Julie. I look forward to seeing y’all’s creations with this sketch on your blogs, too!

Ok, it’s your turn! Will you leave it horizontal or flip to vertical? This sketch works great either way.  Go make something cute and be sure and come back here to link up using the Inlinkz widget below.   Take a moment to visit the others that also link up – there’s always good inspiration to be found with this group!

  1. Julie, You will be missed. I’ve enjoyed working with you on Sunday Sketches. I look forward to seeing you around but will welcome Marlene with open arms. Happy New Year.

  2. Julie- thanks for all the great sketches! And I like all your cards- the robot one is so fun, the stars and stripes- well patriotic cards always tug at my heart- but your first card is stunningly beautiful! I love the colors, the embossing, the sentiment banner- all of it adds up to a fantastic card. I also welome Marlene and look forward to her sketches. Thanks for all your hard work!

  3. Thanks for your wonderful sketches. I’ve enjoyed spending my Sunday mornings with them. 🙂 Love the Robot card – Squee worthy!

  4. Thank you for all your sketches over the past 2 years Julie. I can honestly say that I would be lost without you. When I found Operation Write home, I was still trying to figure out how to make cards that didn’t look like they were made by a 3yo. But once I found Stars and Stamps, I knew I had come to the right place. You’ve taught me so much in the ways of design and I can’t thank you enough. You will be missed here but I’m excited to see what you and Marlene have in store for us in 2013 in your new positions. Have a great New Year and thanks again!

  5. Julie…Thanks for all the inspiration…love your samples…way to go out with a bang! Welcome aboard Marlene!

  6. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into creating these wonderful sketches for us, Julie! I love the variegated coloring behind the silhouette in the first card. 🙂 Marlene, we’re excited to see what twist you will bring to the sketches!

  7. Julie, your sample cards are great! Thank you for all the hard work you’ve put into these sketches the last 2 years. You’ve helped a lot of us cardmakers improve our skills and helped put a lot of smiles on the faces of our heroes and their families.

  8. Julie — thank you for all the time and effort you’ve put into these sketches. I always enjoy your cards too — your samples today continue to be a great inspiration to me. Wishing you the best in your new role with OWH — I know you will do a fantastic job. And to Marlene — welcome.

  9. Best wishes to you in the new year 2013 as you move on with new plans! Your cards are always so beautifully crafted and I’ve enjoyed seeing them and visiting your blog. Happy New Year!

  22. Julie, Thank you so much for the sketches. I don’t post many pictures, but I have made lots of OWH cards from the sketches. They are essential to me because I knew almost nothing about how to put together a card when I began.
