Sketch Challenge #125
**special note: Dee, who we were collecting encouragement cards for, is now in the hospital being kept comfortable during her final days. Please leave some love on her Featured Cardmaker post instead of mailing cards if you haven’t yet put them in the mail; the end is near.**
Hi, sketchers! It’s Sunday again, so it’s time for a fresh sketch! But first! If you missed it yesterday, Sandy posted a great quick list of current card drives, and I thought I’d post it again for you…
- Duty. Honor. Cards – due July 4, all themes, 5% of your box should be AnyHero cards, prizes provided by Uniformed Scrapbooks of America – 3 for cardmakers, and a scrapbook for a hero’s family for every 1,000 cards sent in for the drive!
- We R Memory Keeepers card drive – due July 24, Love (Thinking of you, Missing you, Anniversary), Any Hero, Thank You, Birthday, Holiday, Get Well. Prizes grow as the number of submissions grows.
- Want to enter both at the same time? Make sure your package meets both card drives as well as OWH guidelines, print out the We R packing slip here and ALSO write on it “Duty Honor Cards” so we know you want to be entered for both, and have them in your shipper’s hands by July 4.If you want to enter some cards for their Facebook judged contest, send a few directly to the address on their site. Local stores can also do the same by sending cards directly to OWH
How about a sketch to get some contest-winning mojo going, hmm?
We have two great sample cards for you this week, made for you by the lovely Marianne C. She has a blog called Petunia’s Paper Passion, be sure and visit to see more of her work! I love how she used the four boxes to spell out words, very clever! Thanks for the cute cards, Marianne!
What are you going to put in the four boxes? Letters like the sample cards? Little stamped images? Embellishments? There’s all sorts of possiblities! Be sure and link up your blog post or gallery below so we can all share the ideas and inspiration!
