OWHtv: Episode 85 – St Patricks Day
Posted by Operation Write Home on Jan 3, 2013 in OWHtv, Stars and Stamps | 2 commentsThings to do for two weeks with no OWHtv:
- Go visit the ICP! And make cards. Share what you’re making!
- Check out our New Years Top Ten post – there are TONS of links to inspire you, not only in the blog links from other crafters – but the tutorials, popular sketches, and popular MWTs. Set a goal and go choose something to CASE!
A few questions I missed from chat:
- Do you ever send cards to new soldiers going thru boot camp? No; our mission focuses on those with no access to greeting cards who are deployed overseas.
- Are we still doing kids cards? Oh yes! Keep them coming! Along with masculine cards, thank you cards, missing you cards….we can always use any theme of card aimed at children or adults.

And yes, no Precious used on the Stump Sandy card…and no layer under the sentiment! What was I thinking!

Using grids reminds me of a trick …
I can’t seem to get things straight even with a ruler! What works for me …
Cut a piece of needlepoint plastic to lay on the card. Use it to mark where to add embelishments.
Your cards in this episode reminded me of a question I have. I know that the themes OWH wants include Missing You and Thinking of You, but where would you put a card that has a sentiment saying You are my Sunshine, or Hope You Have a Honey of a Day, things like that?
