OWHtv: Episode 78 – Stampers Best Patriotic Love
Posted by Operation Write Home on Nov 1, 2012 in OWHtv, Stars and Stamps | 6 commentsAs we’ve finished Christmas cards, this show is all about valentines and love cards!
The stamp set used for the card shares is HERE at Stampers Best.
This first card….oh my. Just look at my bad stamping. Yes, I’ve told you before I’m not the best stamper….here’s proof!

The card is now dressed up a little more; much nicer stamping, a layered sentiment with border punch.

The next version is much more shabby chic; layers, soft ribbon additions, distressed edges.

For Stump Sandy, I stumped myself a little by punching out a bunch of hearts and running out of time! So….I made a couple cards with the leftover hearts. This first one uses a focal point collection of hearts; the white ones are the backs of the pink paper. The sentiment was originally stamped in black on the red, but it didn’t pop much, so I placed a banner over it.
The next card uses more of the pink paper as a jumping off point, and the gold-patterned paper reminded me I had some gold washi tape. The tape is adhered directly to the white paper below or the stars would have turned pink.(And yes they looked terrible!) The sentiment here is on a tone-on-tone light pattern; watch for multicolored patterns, those will hide a stamped sentiment.

And the final heart is on a classic clean card with pearl pen dots.
Don’t forget to comment over on the YouTube channel to qualify for the stamp set!

Wow! That was FAST – you popped four lovely Valentines in just an hour! AND got them posted. Impressive!
That’s the joy of CAS
Hi Sandy! I love seeing how you “step up” a card and today’s cards were all great! I really enjoy and learn from your videos!
Thanks for the stepped up card examples, and the Stump Sandy cards this week are wonderful. I hope you’ll do some more Copic tutorials. You do such an awesome job on those, (better than a lot I’ve tried to watch.)
Love the shows! Got warm & fuzzy w/your AZ sweatshirt.
loved all the heart cards. Where did you get the peral pens. All the craft store I’ve asked for them had no ideal what the were.
