Midweek Throwdown: General Love ThemePosted by AllisonGinTX on Dec 11, 2013 in Midweek Throwdown Challenge, Stars and Stamps | 2 comments
You did a fantastic job getting a head start on Valentine’s cards for our heroes to send home to their loved ones! I especially liked the ones for the kids. Don’t forget that the deadline for Valentine’s cards to be received by Operation Write Home is December 31, so get busy if you plan to make holiday-specific cards.
Wow, what a segue into this week’s challenge to make GENERAL LOVE-THEMED CARDS. What Operation Write Home prefers more than anything is a general-themed card that can be used either for Valentine’s Day or even after the holiday has passed. What does that mean? That means no sentiments like Be Mine, Happy Valentine’s Day, Be My Valentine. General love-themed cards express love and affection without any reference to Valentine’s Day!
Here with a great example of a general love-themed card this week is our sample card maker Samantha E. who blogs at August 1686. I know some of you are going to ask, so Samantha says that the image on her card is from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson. Isn’t it great?!
NOW, SHOW US YOUR GENERAL-THEMED LOVE CARDS!
