Midweek Throwdown: Color ChallengePosted by AllisonGinTX on Feb 26, 2014 in Midweek Throwdown Challenge, Stars and Stamps | 6 comments
Loved, loved, loved all the different ways you interpreted “Let Your Light Shine” in last week’s challenge! This week you may not have to think so hard. Since it’s the 4th week of the month, it’s time for a Color Challenge. Also, don’t forget that the Easter deadline is approaching quickly. Easter cards must reach Operation Write Home by March 7. As always, cards that could be used for Easter or after are encouraged, such as general-themed cards with a bunny on them.
Your challenge this week is to make a card that incorporates TEAL or TURQUOISE as the main color. Colleen P. is here with a grouping of cards that caught my eye! And here’s what she has to say about them in her own words:
“These cards are what I call a happy accident. I had watched the “Scrap Wrangler” video, so I was going through my scraps and these colors happened to land together on my desk. And a sketch I had seen on the post popped into my head. They were just lying there yelling at me, “Turn me into a card NOW!” I love how they turned out and hope they give someone the same feeling I would get whenever I got a card or letter from my husband while he was in the military.”
GRAB SOME TEAL OR TURQUOISE AND MAYBE EVEN WRANGLE A SCRAP OR TWO! SHOW US WHAT YOU CREATE.
Please take the time to visit other participants and leave specific comments about their cards. We all deserve a pat on the back for supporting our troops!
