Midweek Throwdown Challenge: April Showers Bring May Flowers

Well, you all did a fantastic job on our April bonus week (there were 5 weeks in April!) challenge to create masculine thinking of you cards. Now that the Father’s Day deadline has passed, we are entering a bit of a Spring/Summer lull with no specific deadlines, so remember to make all kinds of general-themed cards OR for all you overachievers, it’s not too early to get started on Christmas/Winter cards! LOL

This week’s challenge April Showers Bring May Flowers means we’d like to see cards with FLOWERS on them! This may include stamped images, digital images, floral patterned paper, die cuts, border punches, flower brads, actual silk or paper flowers…anything related to flowers. Remember that our general themes include: Love, Miss You, Birthday, Thank You, Thinking of You/Hello. Our sample card maker this week is Kathy S. who has a Flickr account displaying all of her lovely cards including this one:

I just love the bright colors on this card – they make me so happy! Here in Texas it’s bluebonnet season – it doesn’t last long, but they are soooo beautiful and remind me of my grandmother. Here’s a little bit about Kathy’s card in her own words:

“This card was inspired by a video from Shari Caroll when she worked at Hero Arts and can be found at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJElspfupQg I started getting interested in Prisma Pencils with videos like this and the ones that Sandy Allnock did in her class last year. There is something so beautiful about the blend of a well colored image and though I’m still a novice, I’m glad there are teachers like Shari and Sandy who share their skills.”

SO, NOW IT’S YOUR TURN – SHOW US YOUR BEAUTIFUL CARDS WITH FLOWERS!!
