Important to moralePosted by Operation Write Home on Oct 30, 2013 in Hero Blog, Note from Afghanistan, Note from Airman | 8 comments
Here’s the letter that came along with many photos – which you may have seen in the video below!
Along with my unit stationed here at Kandahar, Afghanistan; we wanted to say thank you for all the hard work and wonderful cards that we have been able to use. In fact the 451 EMXS personnel has allowed me to photograph them with cards and smiles, and even some strange poses. I, as well as my leadership believe this to important to morale on both sides of the “Operation.”
The Maintenance Operations Officer, Captain B., took the lead in ensuring the 451 EMXS was a part of this operation. He holds a position of great responsibility and still finds time to manage people and not just the task of the mission. Due to our working environment he doesn’t get the positive thanks he deserves, and we can’t brighten his day the way a word from your organization does.
Again Thank you all!
And a message from the Captain:
My Mom and Wife really appreciate the cards too. I certainly would not have sent so many back home if they were not so readily available.
*Theirs were the photos posted in this video….watch again, it’s worth the smiles!
