If it weren’t for the cards…

I got your package of cards. Thank you so much for taking the time to put it all together for me! I’ve been over here in Afghanistan since June. I am scheduled to be here for a year, but who knows.

It was 114 degrees here in July, and last week it was 34F at night/early morning. It warmed up the last few days to about 60F. I heard by mid-December we should get snow drifts of 3 feet. Record low here is -22F.

Thank you SO much for the box of cards. They are so important to me because I write to my son daily; if it weren’t for the cards provided by you, I’d have no way to contact him. (I haven’t been able to talk to him since summer.) It’s tough but th eltters are my only link. Thank you so much for keeping me talking to my son. 🙂

Take care,

  1. Thanks to the soldiers and sailors who write, and thanks to OWH for posting them. I know the fact that my cards are used and appreciated makes me redouble my efforts to provide as many attractive, quality cards as I can!

  2. Dear RM,

It is our honor to serve you by making these cards. We wish you a successful mission and hope you return home soon. 🙂
    Melissa T.
